Guests say

Green Acre is a well-received holiday cottage in Cumbria, praised for its peaceful location, stunning views, and spacious garden. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and the convenience of two sitting areas. The property is ideal for family gatherings and provides a secure space for pets. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns were noted, the quick response to resolve problems and the overall experience were highly valued by visitors.

The majority of guests found Green Acre to be comfortable and well-equipped. However, there were some concerns about cleanliness, including reports of a property not being well-cleaned upon arrival and the presence of spiders and slugs. These issues seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, but they have impacted the overall perception of cleanliness.

The location of Green Acre is highly praised for its beautiful views, quietness, and accessibility to the Lake District. Guests enjoyed the proximity to walking trails and the convenience of being close to main roads without significant traffic noise. The scenic surroundings and the ability to explore the southern lakes contributed to a positive experience.

Comfort at Green Acre is generally well-regarded, with guests mentioning cosy living spaces, warm conservatories, and comfortable beds. Some guests found the pillows a bit hard and the seating not sufficient for larger groups in the evenings, but overall, the property provided a comfortable stay.

Facilities at Green Acre are appreciated, including the well-stocked kitchen, secure garden for pets, and the presence of two TVs with streaming access. However, some guests reported issues such as unreliable electric gates, a leaking fridge, and a lack of wood for the log burners. The hot tub was also mentioned positively, but there were issues with heating and lack of instructions.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

It was accurately described in the find your cottage. The quality of soft and hard furnishings were good quality. The beds were very comfortable. Of the 5 adults using the cottage, nobody had a single negative.

Advert described fast WiFi, we couldn’t get either tv to work with Netflix or Amazon prime internet kept crashing. The house was not the cleanest and everytime you used the shower you could smell drains. The dog from next door came through the hedge each day and left his mess on the patio for us to clean up! Overall needs a bit of attention.
