Guests say

Rusland View is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and cosy comfort. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from hosts David and Anne, along with the thoughtful touches such as homemade cakes and local walk leaflets. The property is described as an idyllic getaway, perfect for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity.

Reviewers consistently mention the cottage's spotless condition and high standards of cleanliness, with one guest specifically thanking the owners for a clean oven, which is often a point of disappointment in other properties.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, offering easy access to local walks and the South Lakes. Some guests note the rural setting with narrow roads, but this seems to contribute to the property's charm rather than detract from it.

Guests find the cottage to be warm, cosy, and inviting, with a comfortable bed and a wood burner adding to the ambience. The peacefulness of the location also contributes to the overall comfort of their stay.

The property is well-equipped, with a full-size fridge freezer, powerful shower, and well-maintained kitchen. The presence of a wood burner and the provision of internet, despite some connectivity issues, are also noted.

Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful gestures by the hosts, such as homemade cakes, fresh flowers, and dog treats. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.

David and Anne made us very welcome and were available if we needed them. The special touches like the scones and jam and the lovely arrangement of flowers just added to our holiday. It was great to do both local walks from the cottage as well as going further afield. The cottage is situated in a lovely peaceful valley.
