Snaptrip says

Jessica's Cottage in Bowness-On-Windermere is praised for its peaceful setting, secure garden, and proximity to town. Guests appreciate the property's suitability for dogs and the convenience of parking. While the cottage's charm is acknowledged, some guests suggest updates to the bathroom and mattress, and a few cleanliness issues were raised.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests found it clean and well-kept, especially considering it is pet-friendly, others reported issues with dog hairs, dust, and general upkeep. The inconsistency suggests room for improvement in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to local amenities, and accessibility to hillside walks. The steep hill to the property is noted, but the overall sentiment is that the location's benefits significantly outweigh this minor inconvenience.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the garden enjoyable, but some have mentioned that the mattress lacks support and the bathroom could be updated for enhanced comfort. The living space is generally considered pleasant.

Facilities are deemed adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, guests have pointed out maintenance issues such as a non-functional fire, low-power shower, and lack of outdoor lighting. These concerns suggest a need for attention to the property's amenities.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

The cottage was clean and had all the amenities you need whilst staying there. The garden is lovely to sit and relax in, and was fully secure for our dogs to roam around it. The cottage is ideally situated near the centre of Bowness, but there is a steep hill you need to climb to return to the cottage. Would definitely like to stay in Jessica's cottage again.

This was an issue last time we said in this property . This happens all the time however due to the rain you don't always know as the slate tile are wet .

Proper home from home..everything you need for a break away..our dogs loved the enclosed garden..not too far from the center of bowness ( although the walk back to the cottage..up a very steep incline..takes its toll )..wifi is a little slow..but the fire and heating work a treat on cooler evenings..nice to have your own driveway..but two cars would be a tight squeeze..take a camping light for the garden as there is no light..would stay again..thanks again Sykes.
