Guests say

The Heights in Bowness-On-Windermere receives high praise for its prime location, stunning views, and spaciousness. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchens, comfortable furnishings, and the convenience of nearby shops and restaurants. The property's multi-level layout and parking are also noted positively. While some minor maintenance issues are mentioned, the overall sentiment is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.

Guests generally report that The Heights is very clean, with only one mention of a shower not being checked before arrival. The positive remarks about cleanliness suggest that the property is well-maintained.

The location is consistently lauded for its proximity to local amenities, the town centre, and the lake. The quiet yet central setting and the convenience for exploring the Lake District are highly valued by guests.

The property is described as comfortable, with cosy sofas and comfy beds. The presence of a ground floor bedroom with its own facilities is appreciated for accessibility. Some guests, however, noted a lack of bedside tables and lights in one bedroom.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living areas. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as non-working showers and a lack of shower brackets, which slightly detract from the overall experience.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Excellent bus links to nearby Ambleside and Grasmere. Just wish the weather had been kinder to us!! Would definitely recommend this property.

This holiday home is very modern and nicely decorated throughout as well as clean and tidy, with everything that you could possibly need for a self-catering stay. The ground floor is almost self contained, with a doubling up of both a kitchen and bathroom. The rear garden has a table and chairs and is quiet considering the proximity of the centre of Bowness. This house is situated on a hill (although there is a cut giving access to the Bowness main road) and given that the house has three levels people with mobility problems maybe have issues with this let. The car parking space immediately in front of the house can accommodate two small family cars satisfactorily. The only gripe with the property was a very slow draining sink in the mid level shower room (probably easy to rectify). I would recommend this house as a holiday location within the lively centre of Bowness and would certainly consider staying here again.

There are a lot of stairs so people will have to take that in consideration. Would recommend The Heights & would like to definitely book it again . A home from home . Clean & everything you needed was there .
