Prospect House in Windermere is a well-decorated, comfortable cottage with luxurious bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the central location, underfloor heating, and the inclusion of parking passes. While some minor maintenance issues and noise disturbances are mentioned, the overall experience is positive, with the property often exceeding expectations.
The property is generally found to be very clean, with a pristine kitchen on arrival. However, a few guests noted dust accumulation and a damp smell in the basement, slightly affecting the overall cleanliness perception.
The central location is highly praised for its convenience to bars, cafes, shops, and public transport. Despite some street noise, the ease of access and the provision of parking passes are well-regarded.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the heated floors a lovely touch. The spaciousness and warmth of the bedrooms contribute to a comfortable stay, although some guests were disturbed by noise.
The property boasts well-equipped rooms and a high standard of decoration. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as ageing windows, a sticky front door, and inconsistent WiFi, which suggest room for improvement.
While guests are generally satisfied with the amenities, there is no mention of gifts or welcome packs being provided, and therefore it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness in terms of gifts.

Might be worth mentioning for future guests that there are no toilet facilities on living floor level. This could be problematic for elderly guests having to continually negotiate stairs. Otherwise, we thorough enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

to say that the property exceeded our expectations would be an understatement !! :) It might be an idea for the owners to leave a small welcome pack,, milk etc especially for visitors from overseas,, but this was not a problem.
