It was so comfortable, stylish and the location was excellent. We also appreciated the welcome pack for both ourselves & our dog. Such a.loveky gesture and much appreciated after our long journey from Ireland..This was our first visit to the Lake District and the Sunflower Cottage was definitely one of the many hours highlights of our trip.

So clean and the most modern place we have stayed in the lakes. Bed really comfortable and TV in every room. Loved the gift basket left with Prosecco and other treats. They have thought of everything in the property. If it wasn’t for the nose from above we would stay here again and it would be 5 star all round. However we were at the lakes for our honeymoon, and we did not realise that we would be able to hear people in the apartment above so easily. 3 of the 5 nights we could hear people stomping about above and it kept us up till 2am, then they woke up again at 5am so we had little sleep. It’s timber joists between upstairs and downstairs unlike the new apartments where they are made with concrete so you can quite literally hear everything from above. This needs to be made clearer on the website as we wouldn’t have booked this if we knew. Lovely place to stay but if you want somewhere quiet I’d look elsewhere as it’s a risk you will have someone staying in the apartment above, thankfully we had 2 nights of full sleep when they left.

The apartment is very well located between Windermere and Bowness and with a bus stop at the end of the road for easy trips elsewhere. Thank you for providing the perfect base for our trip, we will return!
