Upon arrival, the scale of the rooms, their windows and the surrounds are immediately impressive. Further investigation reveals a formal dining room, a light airy sitting room, sunny conservatory and a country-style kitchen, all of which are on the ground floor. With so much space, Margaretta House and The Pool House is an excellent venue for celebrations.
Moving into the bedrooms, seven exceptional bedrooms have been prepared with fine white linens, each with their own styling, and all with wonderful full-length windows that provide views over the landscape. For those that require twin beds, two can be requested, just let us know when making the booking. Please note, one of the bedrooms is the garden annex. This is separate to the main house, but is only just across the dining terrace, adjacent to the indoor pool.
Outside, the unique nature of the property continues to impress, with a superb mix of formal lawns, tree-lined avenues, wildflower meadows, lakes and woodland. Each season will reveal hidden delights, with the ever-changing landscape continuously shifting from one season to the next. Margaretta House and The Pool House also boasts an indoor heated swimming pool and a dining terrace, making it the ultimate location for summer fun.

Additional Information:
Three well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). As there are sheep and wild deer on the estate, dogs must to be kept on leads when in proximity.
Indoor heated swimming pool is available from November 2024.
A mixture of synthetic and feather bedding is provided.
Please be aware, there are two lakes on the site. Children must be supervised at all times.

Magnificent Margaretta House. Margaretta House in Norfolk is a true gem. Nestled amidst stunning landscapes, with sheep, woods, and the soothing sounds of wildlife, it offers a serene escape. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and kind, making you feel right at home. The rooms are marvellous—spacious and beautifully decorated, with no detail overlooked. The cosy living room, complete with a warm fire, invites relaxation, while the wonderful kitchen and dining area are perfect for gatherings. I couldn’t fault my experience here; it was truly exceptional. Highly recommend!

Living in a dream! The whole place is so amazing! The house, the beds, the food, the garden. We have had such a great time together. While walking in the garden, with all the beautiful trees in autumn colors, we looked at eachother and said: it is like living in a dream! Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality. We will be back very soon...! We recently enjoyed a lovely long weekend with a group of friends staying at Margaretta House. Our brilliant hosts, Andrew and Liz, were very accommodating and looked after our group wonderfully. Margaretta House is a lovely countryside house. The rooms are warm, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The surroundings made off impressive trees, woods and gardens are stunning. It is also easily accessible from the nearby centre of King’s Lynn. We loved our stay and we would definitely recommend Margaretta House.
