Standing alongside the water, set on a quiet waterway leading to the River Bure, within the popular village of Horning. The village has 3 pubs, shops, café and ice cream parlour to enjoy. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy fishing from the garden. A motor launch can be privately hired (day rates apply) to truly enjoy and explore the waterways. The Broads are a haven for wildlife, and a must for any birdwatching enthusiast. Horning Leisure Centre, open for day guests, boasts an indoor swimming pool and fitness centre.
Wroxham, known as capital of the Norfolk Broads is just 11 minutes by car, or an hour by boat. It offers a supermarket, shops, cafés, railway station and a model village, as well as daily river trips. Great Yarmouth is a traditional family seaside resort 17 miles away, and excellent sandy beaches can be found 12 miles away. rspb Nature and bird reserves all within a short drive away. What a lovely cottage, we loved our stay here. The photos do not do it justice. It was very well equipped and clean. Perfect location by the river, very peaceful with the added resident Charlie the Heron, who is always on the look out for food. If you have dogs the outdoor area is perfect all closed in and good size, with outdoor seating and a BBQ. Horning itself is a beautiful little village with great pubs and few shops. Our favourite was the Ferry Inn, they were very accommodating and have great entertainment. We would 100% recommend a stay here.
