Guests say

Beach Haven is consistently praised for its cleanliness, stunning location with sea views, and comfortable amenities. The hot tub and games room are particular highlights, although some maintenance issues are noted. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as decorations and a well-stocked kitchen, contributing to a memorable stay.

Guests consistently describe the property as very clean and tidy, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating high standards are maintained.

The property's location is highly praised for its remarkable sea views and proximity to the beach, with private access and local attractions like Horsey Gap seals adding to its charm.

The property is described as comfortable and spacious, with comfortable beds and a warm conservatory. However, there are minor comments about the wood burner drawing too much air and the hot tub's temperature, slightly affecting the comfort score.

Facilities like the hot tub, games room, and well-equipped kitchen are well-received. Some maintenance issues with the jukebox, dishwasher size, and water pressure are mentioned, which slightly lowers the score.

Guests mention thoughtful touches such as Christmas decorations and a generous supply of logs. While gifts are appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, while delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

About this property

Beach Haven is a large, detached, single-storey property resting beside the charming beach of Cart Gap, near Happisburgh, ideal for a family or a group of friends looking for a getaway to the coast of Norfolk. Park off-road in the ample parking space and unpack into a spacious property with tasteful interiors. Head into the kitchen and make the most of the many amenities on offer, cooking up a storm which can be enjoyed in the formal dining room, or for a more informal setting, there is a porch with a second dining table and utility space where guests can grab a bite to eat with a view across the garden. Settle into the sitting area in the selection of sofas, warming your feet beside the woodburning stove, or head over to the snug/games room and test your skills at pool and darts, listen to some of your favourite hits by using the jukebox, and have an evening dance under the disco ball, or grab a good book and recline in the conservatory snug area. Guests can freshen up in the bathroom before settling into one of the four well-presented bedrooms, choosing between a king-size with en-suite, a super-king-size zip/link which can be set up as a twin on request, a second king-size or a twin. The wrap-around garden is an idyllic spot to indulge in the salty air, offering extensive lawn space, garden furniture for an alfresco affair, direct access to the local beach, and the added opulence of a bubbling hot tub boasting extensive sea views. Cart Gap is a hamlet resting on the coast of Norfolk, offering immediate access to a pretty sandy beach, as well as a local café, Smallsticks Café, and amenities and eateries at the close by town of Walcott. The property is a short drive to the towns of Stalham, North Walsham or Wroxham, offering supermarkets and local shops, as well as a greater selection of amenities. There are many attractions threaded throughout the local area, including the Bewilderwood adventure park, Wroxham Barns, Horsey Gap Nature Reserve and Hickling Broad. For a taste of history, visit the Museum of the Broads, Cromer Museum, or head into the fantastic historic city of Norwich and visit the fascinating cathedral and Norwich Castle. All of this and so much more with a stay at the wonderful Beach Haven.

Walcott is a lovely coastal village that sits right in the middle of the Norfolk coastline, with many small and friendly coastal villages nearby; Bacton where the ruins of Bromholm Priory and Bacton Woods can be found, Happisburgh with its impressive lighthouse, and Mundesley with its fine sandy beaches are to name but a few. The name Walcott is derived from the Celtic word Walecote, which means "village by the wood". It is an ideal place for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, bird watching or simply relaxing and enjoying the many views. Walcott is also a great location for exploring the beautiful scenery of the Norfolk coast, as well as the famous Norfolk Broads. Further inland there are plenty of famous National Trust properties to visit, such as Blickling, Felbrigg and Holkham Halls, or why not visit the historic city of Norwich, with its beautiful Norman Cathedral and Castle, and of course spend your money in the many shops, pubs and restaurants on offer.

We arrived as a family of 6 and two dogs, we had the best time, the bedrooms were large, kitchen was really well equipped, we brought loads of bits with us like washing up liquid, kitchen roll etc but all was provided, living room was very large and comfortable, bt tv including films which was great, the best bit for us was the games room, pool table, darts boards, board games, juke box and all in a large conservatory, we spent most of our nights in there enjoying all the games, there was also a beer fridge in there too, the garden was just huge and the pictures didn’t do it justice, loved the hot tub, great for people watching, garden furniture was in a great spot as was shielded by the wind, I would definitely recommend this property

As a family of 7 we had more than enough room. A very nice find and very sad to leave. Missing my morning coffee watching the seals from the garden. Look forward to coming back some time.
