A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

Really new feeling about it. Everything you need. Football pitch and park perfect for kids. Eggs a nice touch. Thanks for the milk on arrival. Great. Fab distance to beach. Loved the peacocks! Nice friendly waves from the team, so we know you are there if needed. Only 1 thing would improve this further. Can the pressure in the shower be improved at all? The shower looks beautiful but it's poor for having a shower as the pressure is so weak. We have booked for next year the same accommodation. Would be ace is shower pressure could be better.

The lodge is better than the photos on web site . Itâs was very comfortable, very warm and very quiet . The private decking area was great too Had a short walk to beach which was awesome Went to the Joiners arms for food a few times .. just 15 minutes walk ⦠or a short drive in car And went costal walks nearby and drove around to visit local attractions⦠Had a fab time - definitely going to visit again as the lodge was perfect for us and 2 dogs . Absolutely lovely holiday
