Nettie's View is a spacious and well-located cottage in Amble, close to the harbour and local amenities. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, warm atmosphere, and well-equipped kitchen. While some guests mention the need for a deep clean and yard maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
Several reviews mention the need for a deeper clean, noting issues like cobwebs and a neglected yard. However, some guests found the property spotless, indicating inconsistency in cleanliness standards.
The location is highly praised for being central, peaceful, and close to the harbour, shops, and restaurants, making it an ideal base for exploring Amble and the surrounding areas.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces homely and warm. Some minor suggestions for improvement are made, but overall, the comfort of the cottage is well-regarded.
The property is equipped with necessary amenities, but several reviews highlight maintenance issues such as a broken dishwasher and shower drainage problems. The yard's condition and lack of outdoor furniture are also noted.
While some guests were pleased with the extras provided, there is no consistent mention of welcome gifts across the reviews, and thus it cannot be guaranteed. The lack of basics such as toilet roll and washing up liquid upon arrival was noted.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. Beautiful entrance hall with excellent door mat for muddy paws and boots. We loved it had wooden floors so much easier to keep clean and very stylish. The seperate dining room was a luxury for us with having two dogs we were able to sit and eat our meals properly. The kitchen was so well equipped it felt like cooking at home. Overall a very spacious house with shed loads of character. We will certainly be returning if possible.

Had to call due to a problem was sorted within 1 day. I put the stay at a 4 only because, we felt the shower needs a non slip floor. Also hand rail both sides of the stairs. We loved the location never a problem parking. Short easy access to town.
