The property has received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests found it very clean, others noted issues such as cobwebs, a stained mattress protector, and unemptied bins. These points suggest room for improvement in cleaning practices.
The location is highly praised for being great, quiet, with pleasant views, and close to the beach and nature reserve, making it an ideal spot for guests looking to explore Northumberland.
The cottage is generally found to be comfortable, with cosy spaces and comfy beds. However, some guests mentioned a creaky bed and smaller towels, which slightly affected the overall comfort experience.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

The dishwasher is awful. The rotating arm canât turn if dinner plates are on the bottom. The dishes are left with a film all over them. I cleaned the filter and it made no difference. We had no hot water Friday evening, most of Saturday and Sunday evening. I appreciate you sent someone out but there is clearly an issue with the timing of when it comes on. This was a challenge with a not properly functioning dishwasher. If you have autumn winter guests it would be nice to have a basket of logs for the wood burning stove or directions to where you could buy them locally. There is no grill pan for the oven .

The kitchen bin hadn't been emptied and was full of rubbish and the dishwasher was full of dirty crockery. Both the recycling and outdoor bin were full. So we emptied the bins and ran the dishwasher. The house itself was lovely and everything we needed it to be for our stay - would definitely recommend. Suggestion to maybe make more of a point to the people making the booking about the expectation to put the bins out for collection on Wednesdays. We looked it up in the folder but the collection calendar was from 2023 and when we put the postcode in online it couldn't give us the collection date. So we put both bins out and the recycling was emptied. But the rubbish bin will be too full for anyony else to be using really (it was basically at the top before we arrived and our 2 bags of rubbish then filled it).

.it was in a great location quiet with pleasant views from the garden . Beds were very comfy .. kitchen well equipped..Nice hot showers. We would love to come back . Had a problem closing one of the windows which was quickly rectified .
