Guests say

Guests are captivated by the stunning views of Bamburgh Castle and the prime location of the Sandpiper apartment. The property is praised for its high standards, cleanliness, and peaceful atmosphere. While some maintenance issues are noted, the charm of the apartment and its surroundings often outweigh these concerns.

The apartment is generally described as spotless and very clean, with specific commendation for the housekeeper. However, there are isolated mentions of a high chair needing cleaning and a toilet being unclean, slightly affecting the score.

The location is consistently lauded for its amazing views and proximity to the beach and local attractions. It is considered one of the best features of the property.

The apartment is often described as comfortable, warm, and well-appointed. Some guests mention issues with space when dining and the inconvenience of a large footrest, which slightly impacts the comfort score.

While the apartment is well-equipped, there are several reports of maintenance issues such as non-working extractor fans, water damage, and problems with the TV. These recurring issues suggest a need for improvement in this area.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to accurately score this category. As such, the score is set to null.

However the apartment was a little "shabby" in places. What look like water stains//marks on some interior walls. The extractor fans didn't work in either bathroom. No instructions for the TV could not get terrestrial tv which was very disappointing. Needs sprucing up!

Having stayed there previously, I can see the difference. General maintenance would resolve the knocks and blemishes along with a deep clean, it would bring about the standard it was when we first stayed. I do hope this fabulous property can be brought back to its previous form. The exterior building is in need of attention, but I fully appreciate this is not a matter of the owner of Sandpiper alone. I sincerely hope this fabulous building receives the attention it deserves. That said, we had such a nice break and would certainly return to Bamburgh, hopefully in Sandpiper!

Damp walls, plaster falling off, leaking shower tray, rotting door frame and a tap that is just about operable, are items we should not have to suffer. These issues should be resolved or the listing amended to reflect these facts to prewarn. It is a shame as these items took the shine off what would have been a very enjoyable stay.
