The Boat House in Bamburgh & Holy Island Area is praised for its spectacular beachside location and charming village proximity. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, the views, and the easy beach access, making it a favourite for family holidays and dog-friendly stays. While the setting is idyllic, some guests have noted maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns that slightly mar the experience.
Guests have reported cleanliness issues such as dirty kitchen utensils and blocked showers. However, these seem to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend, suggesting that while improvements could be made, the property is generally kept in a satisfactory condition.
The location is consistently lauded for its proximity to the beach and village amenities. It is described as one of the great secrets of the British coastline, with easy access to local pubs, restaurants, and artisan shops, making it an exceptional vacation spot.
The property is generally found to be comfortable, with a particularly comfortable king-size bed noted. However, some guests have mentioned that certain rooms do not heat up well, and there have been comments about the adequacy of bathroom facilities when the house is at full capacity.
While the property is well-equipped and offers great views and parking, guests have pointed out maintenance issues such as a leak causing water damage, a rusty barbecue, and overgrown gardens. These issues suggest that the facilities are good but require better upkeep.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness of the hosts in terms of providing extra amenities or welcome gifts, and the score is set to null.

Could not fault anything about the cottage, it was even better than we imagined, location, quality, comfort and cosiness was faultless. Our biggest compliment would be we would be more than happy to spend the rest of our days there :-) , we will return.

Mr Roberts
Location was fantastic it was great being able to nip back to the house. The enclosed courtyard meant the kids could be sand free before entering the house.
