The lodge is perfect for a relaxing weekend away based on its facilities. However, this is not to say that it was a perfect weekend away. Me and my partner were very let down by the cleanliness and maintenance of the hot tub at canis. We understood that there were maybe a few difficulties with the hot tub, but when we reported our issues, a woman who claimed to be one of the owners of the cabins came over on the Sunday morning. We felt that she was extremely rude to us, who not only said that it wasn't the company's fault for the hot tub maintenance, but also partly blamed me and my partner, despite us following all of the guidance and rules regarding the hot tub at canis. We were extremely let down and disappointed as we feel her rudeness was definitely not warranted as we were only raising a concern. Despite this, one of the other hot tub maintenance workers visited on our last day on Monday morning. Our experience with him was far superior as he fully explained the hot tubs issues and was overall very friendly. However, although we were let down by the hot tub, it did not take away from the great weekend we had at canis.

The park was spotless, the crazy horse pub on site was dog friendly so could call for a pint when walking the dogs. I would recommend this park to anyone wanting a relaxed quiet stay, thanks to all the staff who work at the park.

The lodge is fantastic, clean and cosy. The position in the park is fantastic and you get sun on the private decking area all day. We will definitely return here again.
