Guests say

Water's Edge - Warkworth is a well-loved cottage praised for its comfort, stunning location, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the proximity to the beach, the well-equipped kitchen, and the pet-friendly amenities. The property's charm is enhanced by its riverside setting, offering picturesque views and wildlife sightings. While minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests are generally pleased with the cleanliness of the cottage. One mention of a cleanliness issue resolved by the letting company and owner suggests high standards are maintained, but as there is only one mention, the score is slightly less than perfect.

The location is highly praised for its beauty, proximity to the beach, and the village's amenities. The riverside setting and easy access to local attractions contribute to a near-perfect score.

The cottage is consistently described as comfortable, with a cosy lounge, comfortable beds, and a welcoming atmosphere. Some minor issues with plumbing and floorboards are noted, slightly affecting the score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and good space. However, there are several mentions of minor maintenance issues such as problematic taps and noisy plumbing, leading to a slightly reduced score.

Guests frequently mention and appreciate the welcome gifts, which indicate a high level of thoughtfulness. However, it is politely noted that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

Waters Edge is a near perfect cottage in the charming village of Warkworth. Very comfortable and spacious for two couples. The upstairs lounge gives a nice view of the river flowing by. We think that the Warkworth / Amble area is the best base to stay along the wonderful Northumberland coast.

We had a fantastic stay. This is a lovely large home with three private bedrooms and bathrooms, totally suitable for 3 couples and our dog. There is a great, comfortable, open plan upstairs living room and kitchen / diner making for fun communal living. The photographs don’t really do it justice. The property is on a very quiet lane on the riverbank with plenty of parking and great early morning and late evening walks with the dog. A large sandy beach is a 25 minute walk away. Warkworth is a small, very pretty old town with three pubs within 5 minutes. Pub food was excellent and all very dog friendly. Highly recommended.
