Guests say

Guests have praised North Terrace for its cleanliness, comfort, and stunning views. The property is well-equipped and ideally situated for exploring the local area, with many appreciating the thoughtful touches for both human and canine visitors. While some minor issues were mentioned, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and well-maintained, with only a few mentioning issues with dog hairs and a doggy smell upon arrival. The positive remarks far outweigh the negatives, indicating a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is frequently commended for its spectacular views and proximity to beaches and local attractions. The convenience for walks and the quiet area contribute to a high score for location.

Guests have reported the beds to be very comfortable and the cottage cosy. A few guests suggested the addition of another comfy chair in the lounge for groups of four adults, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The property is described as well-equipped, with a well-appointed kitchen and cosy furnishings. Some guests noted the lack of an iron, poor TV reception, and the need for clearer instructions for the heating system, which slightly lowers the score.

Several reviews mention thoughtful touches like treats and a comfy bed for dogs, as well as a well-equipped kitchen. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note that such extras, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Loftus is a small village located 14 miles north of Whitby on the Yorkshire coast. Older stone cottages and terraced buildings are all that remain from an alum mining community that once thrived here in the 1800s. The city's main thoroughfare is lined with stores, restaurants, taverns, banks, and an elegant town hall. A swimming pool is located behind the main street in a leisure centre. The house itself was very clean on arrival and well equipped. The area was fairly quiet being just out of town and towards the sea which was a ten minute walk away. There are plenty of places to visit within twenty miles.
