What our customers say about their holidays

Hello, We returned yesterday from our stay at lock view and the four of us had such a gorgeous stay!

The facilities are amazing and the location is great, on the canal! Do not let the housing estate you arrive through put you off. Amazing to have a coffee machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer etc - these were extras I didnt see advertised which made the stay extra comfortable. We loved the sauna and hot tub! Our friends who slept downstairs did mention the curtains let in quite a lot of light in the morning but we didn't have this issue upstairs. We visited Malham cove and that area, where we walked the loop of 5.1 miles which was beautiful. Be careful of the stairs though, I would recommend going the loop from Janet foss to malham cove rather than the other way around so you are gong down steps rather than up them, you'll also have to be very mobile, saying that i'm 8.5 months pregnant and managed. Keelham farm shop ( 5 min drive away) is so worth a visit, for a farm shop its very reasonable. Also Skipton woods was awesome. We met Kyle and his dad, they were both lovely and friendly. Not cheap, but we felt well worth the money, Thanks again Victoria

Me, my partner and our dog had a lovely stay!

We got out of the stay exactly what we were looking for. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, everyone spoke to us and we even joined in playing pool and darts. If I’m honest we stopped in a chalet and we both agreed we’d come back to the site but stop in a caravan next time. The chalets are nice but they do lack cooking facilities and a bit more space when you have a pet too. It was not very warm and we did struggle to dry our clothes, however it was March and poor weather. Could not fault the bed and the comfort of the mattress 10/10. The shower was lovely and the hot tub beautiful. Lovely touch having the robes provided too. We made some great friends in the bar and they made our stay! It’s a lovely base for visiting local areas, we went to Scarborough, Whitby and Filey during our stay. There is also great walks from the site, which we loved and made the most of. Thank you Snooty Fox, we will hopefully see you again soon.

What a fabulous house in a lovely location - the views and access to wonderful places.

We loved the location of the house, the style of the house, the standard of design and facilities such as hot tub/sauna and kitchen, were all great. The hosts were very friendly and communications were top drawer. But, we must admit that the beds were really uncomfortable. Set up as a double didn't work as the individual beds had sunk so badly, and the springs were ever-present - even as a single. The connecting zip became a barrier to be together and very uncomfortable. Also, in all the airBnBs we've stayed in, the leaving requirements were by far the most comprehensive. Strip beds and put in a sack, empty bins, empty dishwasher and put everything away, clean down. All before 10AM departure. I was left wondering what the 'cleaning service' actually did. The wine and chocolates were really appreciated, but no spare toilet rolls, no shower/bath products for the beautiful baths and showers was a shame.

No cooking facilities and no pubs close by for food so u have to drive.

It wasn't dog friendly in my opinion, yes there are some fabulous walks for dogs very close by but threw the night if the dog needed a wee u have to take them on there leads to the field as there is no enclosed area for them to do there business. The mattress is in need of being changed, it's very lumpy. The fridge had a horrible smell in it but could also do with being bigger so u can have at least a jug of milk and some snacks in it. There should be information that the pub onsite is cash only and only open 3 days a week. On the other hand the people in the pub made us feel incredibly welcome and when I didn't have cash they let me pay the following day. Also the cleaners were so friendly and helpful they couldn't do enough for us.

A great place to stay, we had only been there 20 mins.

and we were straight in the hot tub. We didn't mind it having to be switched off at 20:00 as we were like wrinkled prunes by 18:30 and had to cook dinner. There was every utensil needed to make dinner and we were soon relaxed for the night. The following day we took a slow amble into Skipton (5 miles away), down the canal bank. Where we sampled a few beers, before returning for more fun and games. Overall a great few days with lovely surroundings and great friends. We will be back, maybe to one of the other larger cottages currently in build. Thanks Kyle, you should be proud of your hard work in developing this lovely place.
