What our customers say about their holidays

Bedroom’s very comfortable, communal spaces need some attention.

Too many sofas in lounge hides the beautiful fireplace, table in dining room far too big to actually sit round. Obviously the damp in the kitchen is a huge problem. The kitchen is too small for the house, no work surface space, so cooking Xmas lunch was a bit of a pain. We had plumbing issues with plug holes been blocked and a leaking loo, but someone came quickly. The ‘garden’ and the fake grass is gross, with dog poo being left, and it looks dirty and shabby especially around the hot tub (why a hot tub in such a small shabby area?). The front needs attention, no kerbside appeal with rotting window sills, but saying all this we had a good time. Hope it gets some TLC soon as it could be an amazing place. Perhaps forfeit the front bedroom on the first floor and have as a second lounge and reduce number of guests by a couple. Parking not an issue, car park nearby.

Hi, thank you for a lovely stay at the house last weekend.

Lovely and warm, great location, very good value for money, bonus that it has 3 parking spaces, hot tub was fantastic - very clean and obviously new. My suggestions for improvement are minor e.g that the knives weren't very sharp and the potato peeler didn't work very well. The only other thing I would suggest is that you update the photos on the website. We were almost put off by the photos because they made it look very basic and we've tended to stay in quite luxurious places in the past. We actually decided on this one because it was cheaper than others. But when we got there we were pleasantly surprised by the place, so I think the photos don't really do it justice. best wishes, Rachel

We had a fantastic stay in Whitby for the week - the house provided us with everything we needed and more.

And the hot tub was a nice added extra. We were surprised to find a welcome hamper too which came with some fresh coffee, bottle of Prosecco, tea, biscuits etc. There was plenty of space for our large group and a secure courtyard out the back for the dogs & car too. The parking just round the corner came in useful and was enough for another 2 cars if needed. We had our toddler with us and the property came with a high chair included, along with bowls/plates/cutlery for kids which was a great touch! Close to the beach, town centre and good road links to elsewhere, it was the perfect base for our week long stay - we’ll definitely be back!

      Lovely house!

We all really enjoyed our stay here, there was plenty of room for all of us. The fact that we all had our own bathrooms was a real bonus, its unusual to find a place this size with 6 bathrooms - fab! The house was really close to everything, only a short 10 min walk down to the harbour - no need for taxi's/buses. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the hot tub as we were out the majority of the time, however this was all set up for us if we wanted to. One slight issue - no mirror in one of the bedrooms! We managed though & the ladies used the mirror in our room next door! Definately recommend & we will be back! :)

Lovely property with an ideal size and location.

The shared spaces are a great size for everyone to sit together and the kitchen had ample facilities for the number of guests. Having a bathroom per room was also really useful. A few snagging details have been brought up with the owner which we hope would be altered for the next time we looked to visit. Note that the property advertises parking, however this was not the case due to issues with the parking tickets for the property. There is a car park nearby for bout £9 a day or free on street parking around 10 minutes walk away if you can get a space.
