Guests say

Primrose Lodge is set in a beautiful, tranquil location with wildlife and scenic walks, ideal for recharging and enjoying the North East coastline. The property offers a comfortable stay with a well-equipped kitchen and a welcoming atmosphere, including treats for guests and their pets. Some guests noted the lodge's cleanliness and maintenance could be improved, but overall, the experience is highly regarded with many looking forward to returning.

Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the lodge very clean, while others reported issues with dirty cutlery, cobwebs, and outdoor cleanliness. The positive comments suggest good standards, but the negative ones highlight room for improvement.

The location is frequently praised for its beauty and proximity to the coast, with many guests appreciating the peaceful setting and nearby dog walks. However, some noted that the walk to the beach and town was longer than advertised, which could be a consideration for some visitors.

Comfort received mixed reviews. Guests enjoyed the peacefulness and some found the lodge comfortable, but several mentioned that the furniture, particularly the settees and beds, were not comfortable and needed updating.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the lodge being well-equipped and the grounds well-kept. However, there were comments about maintenance issues such as a leaking shower hose and the need for better lighting in the kitchen. The improved Wi-Fi was noted positively.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the welcome basket with treats for both humans and dogs. While these gestures are warmly received, it is important to note that such gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed for every stay.

    Thankyou.

We were very happy with our stay. My personal thoughts as a woman was the bathroom wet room although fantastic did lack storage and would benefit from some extra shelving. The welcome basket was a nice touch and our dog enjoyed the snacks as did we. Definitely somewhere we would return too.

We love it there, its got everything we need and more. Since our last visit the bathroom looks to have been re-done and what an improvement, the shower is just fantastic as is everything else about the place. What we'll miss the most though is the beautiful peacocks. Bye, until we meet again.
