We spent most of one afternoon filling the bath up. The hob on the oven tripped every time we used it and we were plunged into darkness. Jaime the owner was extremely helpful and we realised there was little he could do with a Brocken emersion heater. I did ring your telephone helpline Wednesday morning and spoke to someone, who said they would get back to me. I'm still waiting for that callback.

Our first visit to the area and although weather wasn't kind we didn't let it affect our holiday. Lodge owners were lovely and even checked up on us personally to make sure we were comfortable enough/warm enough or if there was anything else we needed. Will definitely be going back, or even taking a look at their cottage (which they informed us about!)

Loved the horses and did see the Barn owl each day plus lots oof places to visit. Some lovely places to eat and the waterwheel down the lane is well worth a visit. The lodge does need work doing as the kitchen units are starting to peel plus the door on the washer is in need of repair, the tiles on the bathroom floor need replacing as well. We enjoyed our stay but feel that the lodge just needs a update in a number of places.
