Mellor is a village resting in Lancashire just outside of Blackburn. Reasonably large for in size, Mellor is home to a Post Office, general store, excellent butcher's, and three pubs, offering all you need for a self-catered stay. It's position in the Ribble Valley provides easy access for walking and cycling, with the Forest of Bowland aonb and Pendle Hill within easy reach. The seaside town of Blackpool is less than an hour away, while the town of Preston is close by where you can catch a scenic steam train through the Yorkshire Dales.
