Guests say

Wattle Cottage in Malpas is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and charming character. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including welcome treats, and find the location ideal for exploring the surrounding areas. The cottage's historical features and cosy atmosphere contribute to a delightful stay, despite minor feedback on parking and facilities.

Guests consistently note the cottage's spotless condition and the sense of care in its presentation. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

The cottage is appreciated for its peaceful and private setting in a picturesque village, with easy access to local amenities and as a base for exploring nearby cities and the countryside.

The comfort of the cottage is frequently highlighted, with special mentions of a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen. The historical charm adds to the comfort, although the stairs present a challenge for some.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and good lounge area. However, there are minor points raised about the dishwasher installation, the need for a washing machine, and suggestions for additional kitchen items.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident from the welcome packs and treats for both guests and pets. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such treats may vary and are a delightful bonus rather than a guaranteed amenity.

Ideal base for days out. (Chester, Shrewsbury, Llangollen to name but a few) We'd definately go back again. St. Oswalds church, in the village is well worth a walk round and the Lion pub has good food in smart, comfortable surroundings. All within a few hundred yards of the cottage.
