Snaptrip says

Mulberry Cottage is a well-received holiday rental in Cumbria, praised for its cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate its location for exploring the Lake District, with convenient access to local amenities and pubs. While some mention a musty smell and minor maintenance issues, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests enjoying their stay and the thoughtful touches provided.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests noting it as clean and comfortable. However, there are a few mentions of a musty smell upon arrival, a dirty rug, and cobwebs, which slightly detract from the overall perception of cleanliness.

The location is highly regarded for its proximity to local shops, pubs, and the Lake District. Guests appreciate the convenience for sightseeing, despite some noting the main road can be noisy and parking can be challenging.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, with a warm atmosphere conducive to relaxation. However, some guests mention hard pillows and a damp smell that affects comfort.

The cottage is praised for its well-stocked kitchen and the provision of amenities like Wi-Fi and digital TV. Nonetheless, guests have raised issues with maintenance, such as the need for better outdoor furniture, a small dishwasher, and minor repairs.

While many reviews express satisfaction with the cottage's amenities and the flexibility of the booking agency, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful gestures that would warrant a score in this category.

It's in need of some minor maintenance such as, the shower drips, new stair carpet and the central heating doesn't work very well. The house instructions are not very clear and you can see they are years old, as it mentions the rose and crown which has been shut for at least 2 years. We liked it and will stay there again. It was clean and comfortable.
