Snaptrip says

Guests have enjoyed their stays at The Annex - Eden House, praising its ideal location for exploring the Lake District and its suitability for couples and pets. The property is described as cosy, clean, and well-equipped, offering a comfortable base with scenic walks right on the doorstep. The village's tranquillity and the helpfulness of the owner are frequently mentioned, contributing to a pleasant holiday experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found The Annex to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests noted areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as dust and spider webs, suggesting occasional oversights rather than a consistent issue.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to the M6, proximity to the Ullswater area, and the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The village's peacefulness and the availability of local walks add to the appeal, making it an excellent base for exploring the northern Lakes.

Guests generally found the property comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and a good bed. Some guests mentioned the noise from appliances and low beams as minor discomforts, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

The Annex is well-equipped for a pleasant stay, with amenities like off-road parking and a secure courtyard for pets. Some guests experienced issues with Wi-Fi and outdated appliances, suggesting that while the facilities are adequate, there is room for improvement and modernisation.

While guests have mentioned personal touches such as a complimentary bottle of wine, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures across all stays. Therefore, while these acts are appreciated, they cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

Even better that the fact we could just let the dog out and not have to worry about her escaping. We have a whippet so she likes to escape! The studio was lovely and comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again.

On returning the last evening, our parking space was taken by someone in the house which left us not knowing where to park and trying to be respectful to the neighbours etc. Was disturbed by the fridge fan at night being an open plan design. But enjoyed our stay
