Cold, dirty, leaking plumbing. I felt sorry for host and stayed but when I asked for the bathroom to be cleaned she said she needed to get her magnifying glasses to see anything BUT the whole place is dirty. I should have left.

Easy to get to Liverpool or Manchester by train. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby, including Shakespeare North at Prescot, Haydock Park, Dunham Massey, Risley Moss and Bridgewater. Good value and variety in one place!

It is an unusual property, being part of a farm/stable complex and as such there is plenty to see in terms of lovely horses, ponies and friendly resident dogs and cats. The property is in a very quiet country location, but with excellent road access via the major motorways nearby. There are some wonderful towns and great houses to visit nearby. People living and working at the farm are extremely friendly and helpful.
