You can get together around the dining table and tuck into a delicious home-made meal over an aged bottle of wine while making plans for the days to come. There is a king on the first floor, with bedside tables, plenty of storage space and the family bathroom conveniently next door. This market town in the Peak District National Park, offers a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as local farmers’ markets. There is an old 17th Century market hall in the town centre and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Both the Dark Peak and the White Peak are within easy reach, and Alton Towers is only a short drive away, while the historic properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are well worth a visit.
