Decor nice. Bathroom very good quality. Shame the log burner/fire wasn’t working as I was cold at night with it being close to open country side. Central heating was pre set at 19.05. At intervals. Soft fleece wraps were available. One local pub open and just a short stroll

It was the perfect base to explore the Peak District. The cottage was spotlessly clean and has everything you would need for your stay, it really feels like home from home as soon as you walk in. The cottage is really well thought out, there was not a single negative! The welcome basket was a lovely touch and had everything you would need for your first night, including bread, butter and milk in the fridge. A short walk away you have the Ye old Cheshire Cheese inn, which served good quality and reasonably priced food with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages over the years and this really was an amazing find! I read endless reviews before booking, long listing, short listing. In the end Cedar Cottage seemed the perfect place and I am glad to be proven right. So allow me to save you some time…. If you are thinking of booking your adventure, I suggest you book Carder Cottage now!
