This Grade II listed Victorian building is within the surrounding High Weald aonb making it a haven for walkers and cyclists. Just a short drive away is the famous Hever Castle and gardens, the former home of Anne Boleyn. Other historic attractions within easy reach are Churchill s home at Chartwell and Penshurst Place and gardens. Beyond the village, the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is well worth a visit with its selection of independent shops and cafes nestled in the Pantiles area, while the nearby vineyards make for a great day out. The sights of London can be reached by train from Cowden in under an hour. Keen walkers and cyclists can explore the multitude of local footpaths and bridleways. Ashdown Forest, made famous by AA Milne and Pooh Bear, offers wide open spaces and the opportunity to play Pooh Sticks at Pooh Bridge. For those looking for excitement, Lingfield Racecourse is close by.
