Guests say

Catharine Place in Bath is praised for its excellent location and cleanliness, with many guests appreciating the well-presented apartment and the thoughtful welcome hamper. While some guests have raised concerns about maintenance issues and the lack of Wi-Fi, the helpfulness of the housekeeper and the property's charm are frequently mentioned positives.

The majority of guests found the apartment to be clean and tidy, with housekeeping often described as excellent. However, a few guests mentioned minor issues such as dirty towels and flies, slightly affecting the overall impression.

The location is consistently praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to local attractions and amenities in Bath. It is considered one of the property's strongest points.

Guests generally find the apartment comfortable, but some have reported issues with bed comfort and noise from neighbouring flats. These occasional discomforts have led to a slightly lower score.

While the apartment is well-appointed, recurring comments about the lack of Wi-Fi and some maintenance concerns, such as outdated lounge equipment and non-working lights, suggest room for improvement in this category.

The welcome hamper is frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Great location. There were some maintenance issues with the central heating, and there was also some noise from the flat above on occasion. However, well furnished and very clean.

Great position at the top of the town, but a short walk to the action, a nicely kitted out flat, up on the second floor, with 4 flights of stairs, so not for anyone not very mobile.

Rural Retreats describe it as a ‘beautiful and well presented apartment’ which in our opinion it is not. The only area we can rate it highly is on location. The flooring, with exception of kitchen/dining area, needs complete refurbishment. The flat needs redecorating. The cleaning needs improvement, ie flies on window ledges lamps not working. Water leak through fan in bathroom bringing down black ‘bits’. Uncomfortable sofas. Communal areas need complete refurbishment. Overall not up to RR usual high standard-we have been a customer for many years.
