Bath 2.2 miles. This detached charming cottage is a stunning conversion of an original Coach House and provides a tranquil luxury retreat set in Combe Down on the southern edge of Bath. Well decorated throughout, the cottage is ideal for couples or friends who are looking for a base conveniently located to discover the attractions of the Southern Cotswolds. There is a light and airy feel throughout the property which is evident as soon as you step into the hallway. The spacious sitting room has a wonderful vaulted ceiling as does the well-equipped kitchen, both rooms have doors opening out onto the delightful courtyard. There are two double rooms each with their own bath/shower rooms. A pretty double on the ground floor and a lovely private master bedroom suite upstairs off the galleried landing. This bedroom includes a dressing area as well as an en-suite shower room. Outside, the sunny sheltered and south-facing patio is a delightful spot to relax with a cup of tea or a glass of wine, or an alfresco supper from the local deli, less than five minutes walk away and always stocked with homemade food. This courtyard is a particular feature of the Coach House. Just a short walk from the door takes you to a Michelin Guide local pub and there are other pubs within walking distance in the village, as well as the deli where you can enjoy a morning coffee or lunch. Two miles away await the sights and sounds of the historic city of Bath where you can enjoy a variety of events throughout the year, notably the famous Christmas Markets between the end November to early December and visit the other many places of interest. There is such a wide variety of things to choose from, a stay at Coach House will not disappoint.
