Guests say

Trinity Cottage in Christchurch is highly praised for its prime location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's proximity to local amenities. The cottage's thoughtful touches, such as festive decorations and a welcome bottle, contribute to its charm, although such gifts are not guaranteed.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated reports of cleanliness issues upon arrival. The majority of reviews highlight the property's spotlessness, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness overall.

The location is consistently praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The proximity to the harbour and public transport is also appreciated, making it an ideal spot for exploring Christchurch.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage spacious for smaller groups. However, some guests noted that the living space can feel cramped for larger parties, suggesting that the cottage is more suited for groups of four.

The cottage is well-equipped with necessary amenities and some guests were pleased with the extra facilities like private parking and a courtyard garden. Criticisms include minor issues with shower pressure, a noisy dishwasher, and a request for additional items like a cot and ironing board.

While guests have mentioned thoughtful gestures such as Christmas decorations and a welcome bottle of fizz, these are individual instances and not consistent across all reviews. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will always be provided.

About this property

A wonderfully presented, end-of-terrace cottage tucked away in the heart of the old town of Christchurch, a historical town on the South Coast of Dorset. Set over two floors, Trinity cottage is an ideal escape for families and friends looking to explore the wonders of Dorset. Step into this delightful abode and discover the open-plan living area, featuring a well-appointed kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and even a washing machine, so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe. While the chef is rustling up a feast, set the dining table with crockery and cutlery and pop open a bottle of fizz in celebration. A patio door provides access to the enclosed garden, complete with a table and chairs so you can enjoy alfresco dining on a balmy evening. When night falls, retire to the bedrooms, consisting of a king-size, double and twin, each presented to a wonderful standard with neat furnishings and storage for your belongings. Upon waking, enjoy a rinse in the bathroom before heading to Marks & Spencers in search of some breakfast goodies. If watersports are your specialty, you’ll be delighted to know that there is the possibility to hire boats and paddle boards nearby! Take time to explore the old castle ruins and stunning priory, or just relax with an ice cream in the riverside park, where bands often play, or if you fancy a boat trip then hop on board one of the regular ferries that gently chug their way up the River Stour. After building up an appetite, be sure to sample some of the well-established restaurants in the area; visit The Boathouse, a popular restaurant offering alfresco dining and river views. The fabulous wine bar of Soho, where you can enjoy good food and cocktails, and The Thomas Tripp, a local institution and family-run pub offering tasty meals can all be found close by. Visit the Jetty for some fine dining or indulge in some fresh seafood at The Noisy Lobster, a superb waterfront restaurant which offers fresh produce and a charming outdoor dining experience. Amble along the pretty coastlines and take in the coastal scenery or spend an afternoon at the beach; why not venture into Bournemouth and discover their splendid attractions? With plenty to fill your holiday itinerary, a holiday at Trinity Cottage will be full of adventure.

Christchurch, a charming Dorset waterside town, is located on the estuaries of the Rivers Stour and Avon, where they meet to make a wonderful natural harbour. Christchurch is a true gem of a city, providing guests with a fantastic and varied holiday experience. The town centre has a variety of beautiful shops and excellent restaurants, and the 11th century castle ruins and the magnificent Medieval priory, the country's longest parish church, are both worth seeing. A visit to Christchurch would not be complete without a stroll down to the charming quayside, where you may drink refreshments while watching the ever-changing boating scene, or taking one of the many regular boat tours along the tranquil River Stour. Take your buckets and spades to one of the neighbouring beautiful sandy beaches, then take a ferry ride from Mudeford Quay across the entrance of the harbour to the sandbank with its colourful assortment of little beach houses. If all of the local attractions become too much for you, head to Bournemouth, a nearby family-friendly resort, or visit the New Forest National Park, both of which are only a short drive away. Alternatively, head to Southborne Beach, which has a promenade that runs all the way to Boscombe and Bournemouth. Christchurch, a picturesque waterside town, is a fascinating and exciting year-round vacation destination.

The cottage is well equipped with 2 sofas, the one opposite theTV reclines when you pull the little handles next to the sofa arms. This property is ideal for dogs, with its wooden effect floors and secure outside area. The free parking behind the property is another bonus. We stayed here in June aswell as October and we would certainly come back again!

The only downside was that we couldn’t switch the heating on when the weather was cool and the leather settees were not very comfortable. Only small things though and we really enjoyed our stay.
