There are many other attractions for which the area is famous within a short drive, including the city of Bath (5 miles) which is steeped in history and well worth a visit for its attractions including the Roman Baths. The cosmopolitan city of Bristol is 8 miles away, with its many attractions such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the SS Great Britain. Other places to visit within 20 miles are Wells Cathedral, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge and the Chew Valley Lakes.
