Located on the private land of the owner’s property, this stunning cottage, in the award winning village of Chew Magna, is perfect for a romantic getaway. With brilliant walking routes all around the Chew Valley and on the nearby Mendips Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the cottage is a perfect back drop to days out. The cottage is laid out over 2 floors and enjoys great views. On the ground floor, the first thing you notice on entering the property, is the spacious sitting room with the large sofa bed, in the corner, being the ideal place to flop and read through your collection of visitor guides before unpacking. It is also ideal for guests to stay over on request. Across the hallway is your king size bedroom, which can be a twin on request, and the bathroom. Downstairs on the lower ground floor is a wonderful open living space with kitchen, dining and sitting area and a window, to let in the breeze, opening onto the private, paved sitting area outside, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or glass of prosecco on a summer evening. Outside is a terrace and lawn with garden seats to enable you to enjoy the spectacular views over the countryside. Just a short walk from the house is the village of Chew Magna with 3 great pubs, a café/ gift shop, fish bar, butcher, pharmacy and Co-Op. In the centre of the village is the magnificent C12th church of St Andrew’s. There is also Michelin starred restaurant about a mile outside the village on the road to Bath. The property is close to the well known Chew Valley Lake and Reservoir (great for fishing) and also to an abundance of great walks and popular tourist attractions including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury Tor and Wells Cathedral The seaside is also close by at Weston super Mare and Clevedon. Only 7 miles from Bristol and 16 miles from Bath there is great shopping, theatre, cinema and a host of other tourist attractions on the doorstep including the SS Great Britain, Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Roman baths in Bath. The property is in a prime location to explore Somerset and these nearby cities.

Chew Magna is a lovey little village, known for being one of the greenest parishes in Britain, it offers beautiful lands to explore and even better scenes from every angle of the village.
