Shepton Mallet is nestled in the base of the Mendip Hills, and is at the geographical heart of the Mendip District, a beautiful landscape full of unique places to visit and activities everyone can enjoy. These include the Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge and the East Somerset Railway. Shepton Mallet is a historic town featuring a delightful mixture of old and new, with some wonderful old architecture and a weekly market, plus a variety of shops, pubs and eateries. With the scrumptious local cider an ideal tipple after a day exploring this part of Somerset, all in all you'd be hard-pressed to find a better holiday base.
