Guests say

32 Manorcombe is a well-furnished cottage in a beautiful and convenient Cornwall location, offering a relaxing environment and a sense of home. While most guests find the property clean and well-equipped, there have been instances of cleanliness issues, which were addressed by the management. The setting is appreciated for its beauty and proximity to local attractions.

Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. While some guests found the cottage clean, there are reports of cleanliness issues, including a significant complaint about mites, mould, and a dirty fridge. However, the issue was resolved, and the guests were moved to a better bungalow.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and convenience, with guests appreciating the proximity to local attractions and the loveliness of the surrounding land.

Guests generally feel at home and find the cottage to be a perfect spot for a quiet getaway, indicating a high level of comfort.

There is insufficient information to accurately score the facilities and maintenance. While there is a mention of a complicated TV and lack of DVD instructions, this does not provide a comprehensive view of the facilities as a whole.

The management's response to an issue with a gesture of a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and a meal indicates thoughtfulness, although it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed and may not always materialise.

This year I have had to rent a bungalow for 2 weeks for my family of 6 and struggled to find anywhere affordable. Our stay was with an expensive but cheaper option of bungalows available in the Tamar Valley area. Unfortunately, our bungalow was plagued with cleanliness issues. There was a drawer infested with mites, filthy fridge, tacky work surfaces and extreme damp and mould throughout. We were, eventually, moved out of the house and into another much better one. I never saw a site manager at all. The initial mite/filth issue was compensated with a bottle of Prosecco (never materialised) and a meal at the local pub. The cleaning staff were very helpful and, I suspect, were instrumental in forcing management to move us. It would take around 4 hours to carry out an efficient deep clean of these houses but I don't think the cleaners are allowed 4 hours. Once moved we haven't heard from Sykes or Honeycombe. Very disappointing.
