Guests say

Coth Skyber is a well-received holiday cottage in Cornwall, praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and peaceful village location. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, beautiful garden, and the proximity to local amenities and attractions. The property's ample parking and easy access to nearby beaches and towns make it an ideal base for exploring Cornwall.

The majority of guests found the property to be spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a high cleanliness score. A few mentioned minor issues with cobwebs and kitchenware, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.

The location is highly praised for its quiet village setting with easy access to local pubs and shops, as well as convenient travel to various Cornish attractions. The proximity to beaches and the park and ride station for St Ives is particularly appreciated.

Comfort receives a high score due to the numerous mentions of comfortable beds and a peaceful environment. However, some guests noted issues with mattresses and a desire for better outdoor seating, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with guests mentioning a well-equipped kitchen and utility room. Some concerns were raised about the need for better lighting outside, a larger TV, and updates to some of the furniture, which affects the score.

While guests have expressed appreciation for the well-stocked kitchen and the property's overall preparedness, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

The room thermostat was so far up on the wall that I was unable to reach it. I telephoned the owner who said that it would be turned up remotely. There was a gas fire in the living room but I could not get it to ignite, believe me I tried over 20 times! There were a lot of windows without curtains which meant that I felt quite vulnerable. The only bedroom which had curtains did not have any heating. Regrettably, I cut my stay short by 24 hours.

Particularly impressed with the cleanliness throughout the property. Also liked the well maintained garden. Great positioning for both north and south coastlines - our lab loves the beaches at Hayle and Gwithian. We also had a couple of trips up to the Star and met some lovely people in there. We hope to be back again in the New Year.
