Guests say

Pol Glas Hall is a highly praised cottage in Cornwall, consistently lauded for its cleanliness, stunning views, and high-quality furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, including a hot tub and log burner, which add to the comfort of their stay. The location is ideal for exploring the area and enjoying coastal walks. While there are minor feedback points on heating control and internet connectivity, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many guests planning return visits.

Guests consistently note the property as extremely clean and well maintained, with only a single mention of sand in the hot tub suggesting a slight oversight.

The cottage's location is frequently praised for its peacefulness and proximity to the coast, with easy access to local attractions. However, one mention of poor mobile signal slightly impacts the score.

Comfort is highlighted with positive remarks about the beds and the warmth of the property, although there were comments about the inability to adjust the heating and a preference for different bed arrangements.

Facilities are generally regarded as top-notch, including a hot tub and well-equipped kitchen. However, there are points deducted for the locked temperature controls, lack of provided wood for the burner, and mixed messages about towel provision.

Guests mention thoughtful touches like scones, fizz, and bathing products, which contribute to a welcoming experience. It should be noted that while these gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was comfortable and well laid out. I do however have a couple of criticisms. Firstly I had requested that the two single beds were made up into a double, as there was going to be two couples staying. This had not been done and there was no way of contacting the owners to get this changed. I don’t know if this was a breakdown in communication between Sykes Cottages and the owner, or what but it was frustrating. Secondly, the literature states that fuel for the wood burner would be provided - it wasn’t. Thirdly, the literature in the cottage says we should use our own towels to use the hot tub but online it states that all towels are included. We did not take any of our own towels. Finally, the literature in the cottage states that the hot tub is cleaned out after every booking - it clearly wasn’t because there was sand in the bottom of the tub. These are only minor issues but if the owners state that things are done and provided, it would be nice if that was the case.

Top spec fittings, amazing views and just so quiet. Absolutely loved our time here and will return, for sure.

The problem was reported the day after we arrived but was never resolved. We had no mobile signal either so unable to communicate with anyone. I have cameras installed in my 91 year old Mother’s bungalow but was unable to check on her between carers visits. Really disappointed. It could have been such a lovely holiday. Unable to plan days out and book tickets online, it just goes to show how much we rely on the internet.
