Settle down to savour a tasty meal as the wine is poured and plans are made for the adventures ahead. After a satisfying meal, snuggle up on the plush sofa with your better half and watch your favourite film in the glow of the electric fire. Wash away the day with a revitalising shower as your towel warms on the heated towel rail nearby. As your eyes grow heavy, climb into the sumptuous double bed to drift off into a refreshing night’s embrace. Located at the head of the Helford River on the Lizard Heritage Coast in Cornwall, Gweek is a small civil parish and settlement. It's just a short distance from the Lizard Peninsula's beautiful beaches and hiking trails, but it's also close enough to Helston, Porthleven, and Falmouth to make it a great location for a staycation. Gweek has all you need for a self-catered holiday, including a classic pub and B&B called The Black Swan, which serves delicious meals and also has a post office and a convenience store.

They provided marvellous provisions such as scones, cream, jam, butter and cheese to name just a few items. The accommodation is at the back of their garden but did not feel overlooked. Finding places to eat was a bit tricky and the only pub in Gweek is closed on Monday and does not do food Tuesday but that is out of ownersâ control and did not spoil a lovely holiday.
