Guests consistently praise the lodge for its beauty, cleanliness, and peaceful surroundings. The hot tub is a highlight, though some minor maintenance issues are noted. The property's seclusion and privacy are appreciated, and thoughtful touches like a welcome bottle of milk are well-received. Despite some comments about bed comfort and a squeaky bed frame, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Reviews frequently commend the lodge's cleanliness, with mentions of crisp linen and a generally fresh presentation. There are isolated remarks about minor oversights, but these do not detract significantly from the overall perception of a clean and well-maintained property.
The location is celebrated for its quietness, seclusion, and natural beauty, contributing to a peaceful stay. Some guests found the lodge to be a convenient base for exploring Cornwall, although the distance to the local pub and the condition of onsite roads were noted.
Comfort receives positive feedback, with the lodge described as cosy and spacious. However, there are several comments about the beds, including discomfort from twin beds pushed together and a squeaky bed frame, which suggests room for improvement in this area.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the hot tub, though some guests mention that not all jets worked and outdoor seating could be more comfortable. The presence of multiple TVs and a washing machine are positives, but there are hints that some maintenance is needed.
While guests appreciate thoughtful gestures such as a welcome bottle of milk and rose petals for a honeymoon celebration, there is insufficient information to determine if such gifts are a consistent offering. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that future guests will receive similar tokens of thoughtfulness.

Unfortunately the bed is very squeaky and I feel the mattress has passed its best. Other than this it was a fantastic stay even though the weather was not always on our side.

The next morning gave us a panoramic to the east and the rising sun, looking forward to our next visit.
