St. Ives offers a selection of tasty eateries and independent shops, and lunch at the oldest pub in St. Ives, The Sloop Pub, is a must, and you can stock up at the Norway Stores, a 100 metre walk from the property. Lace up your walking boots and trail the South West Coast Path before wandering into the centre of St Ives to find a pub for a refreshing pint and bit of grub. There’s also a wealth of fantastic restaurants to sample, including The Rum & Crab Shack for the catch of the day, Pedn Olva with a sun terrace for alfresco meals, and Porthminster Beach Café. Be sure to explore the wonders of Tate St. Ives and the sculptures of the Barbara Hepworth Museum, a must for the artists of the group, whilst those seeking a bit of fun can head to the Paradise Park and Jungle Barn Cornwall for a great day out! Choose Louies Loft for a sleek escape to this bustling Cornish destination.

Close to the southern edge of Bodmin Moor, the pretty village of St Ive (there are three parts) is characterised by rolling green fields, stone circles, rocky tors and a labyrinth of paths winding through the countryside. Though the community covers a large area, its lovely old church and superb country pub act as the main focal points. There is much to do and see in this fascinating area, with the old market town of Liskeard just 5 miles away and the beaches and harbour of the quaint fishing port of Looe a mere 15 miles through the winding country lanes. In-between there’s fishing and watersports at nearby Siblyback Lake, the Donkey Sanctuary at St Annes Chapel, Cotehele House (NT) and gardens, and the championship golf course at St Mellion Country Club. For superb days out with the children try Dobwalls Theme Park (4 miles from Liskeard) or the world famous Eden Project. Even the maritime city of Plymouth with its historic Barbican docks area, outstanding shops, theatres and restaurants and the National Maritime Museum is only 40 minutes by car.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable and well appointed. Fantastic location. Would return in a heartbeat.

The location of this apartment is so perfect we didn’t use the car at all. We used the app just park to rent a car parking spot on someone’s drive and that solved the parking issues. The apartment was spotless and well equipped with everything we could ever have needed and more. We will be returning next year and feel so sad to of left - our best family holiday by far.

It looks as though it has been recently renovated and it is incredibly well thought out for guests. It has, in my opinion, all the facilities you need for a comfortable and easy stay. With an easy walk to town (easy as in close, it is very hilly but we had no issues with the pram if you're happy to pick it up for stairs etc). We also had our two year old with us and it felt safe, and worked very well with the bunk bed room. The balcony and view is just phenomenal, it is obviously the highlight. It really is on the beach, and the sound of waves through the apartment will send you into a lovely lull of a sleep and it is very relaxing watching the waves, which when the tide is in, feels as though it engulfs the apartment. It's very special. We went in May, when we had a very small pocket of good weather (ie. no rain!) and it was still very pleasant. My son enjoyed the beach and the gate is directly under the property, with a little well to wash off the sand on your feet by the stairs, so was easy to go back and forth. I would think if we went in the height of summer, it would be even more unbelievable. If it wasn't such a drive away, I think I would have booked for next month already! There were two negatives which would be no parking but even then, there is room to unload and the car park is not far of a walk. It cost us £27 for 7 days at the long stay car park. I saw another review mention a broom for sand, there was a little hoover but yes, a broom with a dustpan would be incredibly helpful and is definitely needed. But these negatives, in my opinion, will not deter another visit and are incredibly minor.
