Guests say

Artemis is a well-loved and beautifully located cottage in Rock, Cornwall, with a warm atmosphere and a range of amenities. Guests appreciate the en-suite bedrooms, spacious living areas, and secure garden. While some guests have had issues with cleanliness and maintenance, others have found the property to be clean and well-equipped, enjoying local attractions and the convenience of nearby dining options.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests noting issues such as cobwebs, dirty floors, and unclean kitchenware, suggesting a need for a deep clean. However, some guests have reported the property as lovely and clean, indicating inconsistency in standards.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, pubs, and restaurants, with easy access to Rock, Polzeath, and Port Isaac. The nearby Pityme Inn and Bluntrock Brewery are also appreciated by guests.

The property is generally found to be comfortable, with spacious living areas and en-suite bedrooms. However, some guests mentioned a lack of hanging space in two bedrooms and issues with a shower door and blind, slightly affecting the comfort level.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a games area, piano, and board games available. Some guests encountered issues with kitchenware and a BBQ in disrepair, but replacements were provided when issues were raised.

While guests have mentioned a Christmas tree and a foil tray for cooking, there is no consistent mention of welcome gifts or additional thoughtful touches across the reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available information.

They are useless. You also should offer a welcome pack, after a 6 hour drive it would be nice to have some milk. The house is beautiful and spacious but the kitchen was dirty when we arrived, beds were not made up as requested, no card to celebrate the fact it was my mums 60th and has just recovered from breast cancer. Shower door is missing, blind was broken. Garden was a mess. Not worth the money and I will be following this up. I have already made a complaint and surprise, surprise no one has got back to me.

Local pub was very good and a couple of pop ups for coffee in the locality.

This contemporary home was stunning along with the modern interior, tastefully decorated and felt very homely. The location of the property was perfect for us, great beaches along with excellent pubs and restaurants, we had an amazing Sunday Roast at Paul Ainsworth - The Mariners at Rock overlooking the estuary to Padstow. We would totally recommend this holiday home to others.
