Alpha Cottage in Wadebridge, Cornwall, is a spacious and well-appointed property that has been praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and ideal location. Guests have enjoyed the garden and local birdlife, and found the property to be of good value. While some minor issues were reported, they were quickly addressed by the owner, adding to the positive experience.
The property generally received positive remarks on cleanliness, with no major complaints. One guest mentioned cleaners arriving early, but this pertains to service rather than the cleanliness of the property itself.
The location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and family in Delabole. However, some guests noted the presence of a busy road and the lack of walkability directly from the property.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the property spacious, suitable for large families and pets. The presence of a snug room was a plus. A slight deduction is made for the mention of a bed that seemed to be two twins pushed together.
Facilities were generally good, with a secure garden and well-equipped rooms. Deductions are made for reported issues with the oven temperature, lack of freezer, and some maintenance concerns like the missing filter over the hob.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the owner in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

There were no facilities for hanging clothes in the master bedroom. The hood over the hob was missing one of the filters and the void above looked very dirty and not pleasant to cook under. The recycling bin outside was packed full and not all in bags as requested so not easy to use and obviously hadnât been emptied for a while. Despite the few issues, we loved the secure garden for the dogs and good location within easy reach of Polzeath and Rock. Thank you

Worked well with our big family. Us and our 2 grown up children and their families, oh and the dog. We all enjoyed the garden, and loved the various bird activity( blue tit's, blackbirds) and especially the Robins. The grandchildren loved the snug room which they used after a day out for playing on their games consoles. Peace for us grown-ups, haha. Beds were really comfy and all had nice bedding and bed linen on. Good location, lots of places to visit not too far away. Only negatives , busy road out front. No freezer in the house and oven takes an age to warm up and takes a lot longer to cook things.
Marc
Everything was to a high standard only thing we struggled with was the oven not getting to temperature but got there in the end with the help of Google. Loved it so much we booked for next year before we left.
