Chart Cottage in Beer, Devon, is highly praised for its superb location, large en-suite bedrooms, and well-equipped kitchen and lounge. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and the convenience of parking. The cottage's proximity to the high street, village, and beach makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing holiday. While some minor issues were noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to recommend and return.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as very clean, which indicates a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is frequently highlighted as ideal, with easy access to the high street, village, beach, shops, and bars, and is central for visiting the surrounding area.
The cottage is generally regarded as comfortable and cosy, with spacious rooms. However, one review mentioned that the smallest bedroom with small single beds was not comfortable for adults.
Facilities are well-received with a well-equipped kitchen and the bonus of parking for two cars. However, the absence of a microwave and a small en-suite in one bedroom slightly affected the score.
Guests mentioned lovely extra touches like a welcome box, which suggests thoughtfulness. However, as not all guests received a welcome pack and gifts are not guaranteed, the score reflects this.

Lovely comfortable cottage in a great location. Walking into Beer was quick and easy and the parking spot was very handy. Would recommend this property and would also stay there again.

We’ve stayed at this cottage a few times - ideal location for the village and local walks. Parking for 2 cars is a bonus. Cottage is well equipped and comfortable - especially as all 3 bedrooms are en suite.
Mrs Hesk
No microwave, was told it would be replaced but wasn’t. Grateful that we were called and informed of this though. Had to change battery in fire alarm
