The village is surrounded by great footpaths for walking, mostly leading into the wooded River Teign valley where you may spot deer, salmon leaping and other wildlife. The village itself offers a traditional pub and there is another pub nearby at Fingle Bridge. The local church has a pop-up shop which is open 8am to 8pm, selling non-perishable items and essentials. The location is ideal for visiting Drewsteignton and Dartmoor. The property has all creature comforts for a relaxing stay and Elizabeth’s attention to detail and additional treats such as the lemon drizzle cake make it extra special.

The walk from the village to fingle Bridge was easy once we found the path. Would not recommend walking on the road as too narrow. Castle Drogo and the grounds again a walk away, is a must visit. Both theses locations are accessible by car and only 5 mins away from cottage for those not wanting to walk. We would certainly go back to this location and cottage.
