It is a large old farmhouse with plenty of room for us all, as well as a large garden. It is well appointed the only problem which might arise is that the tv is via the internet only, but we found that no problem. The house is surrounded by lovely countryside, with some really nice walks directly from the garden gate. The nearest village is South Molton, about 7 miles away, and is bigger than you expect. A little further is Barnstable, with a huge supermarket. From there it is a short drive to the north coast beaches, although Ilfracoombe was horribly crowded when we went, but other beaches along that coast are wonderful. We had both lunch and dinner at the Masons Arrms locally (one Michelin star I believe) and the experience was excellent. Just to note’ the water is sourced from a borehole via a well, but in practise this was no different from having mains water, and the water quality was very good. Overall we had a great time and will think about booking again

The house is lovely, the garden is beautiful and the surrounding countryside is stunning. Lots of lovely walks to do but it was wonderful to sit in the garden and enjoy the view as well. Tom, the owner was very helpful and responsive, I really hope we get a chance to visit again.

Lovely remote property and the gardens and surrounding area are fantastic. If you like seclusion and peace and quiet then this would be good for you. siting in the garden, watching the birds of prey flying and the deers grazing in the neighbouring field was very lovely.
