Guests say

Totherside is a well-loved cottage boasting stunning views of the Dart Estuary, appreciated for its comfort, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities. Guests enjoy the thoughtful touches, including welcome packs, though these are not guaranteed. The challenging access road and steps are noted, but the views and property charm outweigh the inconvenience for most.

The property is consistently described as very clean, with only one mention of cleanliness not meeting expectations. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.

The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views and proximity to Dartmouth. The challenging access and steep steps are mentioned, but the views seem to compensate for any inconvenience.

Comfort is frequently commended, with mentions of a well-equipped house and comfortable furnishings. A few guests found the beds too soft, which slightly impacts the score.

Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, though some guests noted issues with hot water, outdated technology, and maintenance of outdoor areas. These minor issues suggest room for improvement.

While many reviews mention welcome packs and gifts, which are appreciated, there is no consistent reference to the thoughtfulness of the hosts in other aspects, such as communication or addressing feedback. Therefore, a score cannot be accurately provided.

The house is beautiful and the views from the floor to ceiling windows are spectacular. Even our teenagers enjoyed sitting by the windows and taking in the view, watching the boats and the steam train. It is comfortable and really spacious. We all want to go back when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy table tennis and sitting outside in one of the many outside seating areas. Our Vauxhall Zafira Tourer was just fitted down the road with the wing mirrors folded in.

Looks even better than the photos, views from every living area, including all bedrooms. Always lots to see on the river, amazing view. We had both our cars on the driveway, medium to large cars too. Wood lane is tight, but we just managed to drive down it unscathed. Lots to see an do in the area. Best house we've stayed in.

We arrived to a lovely welcome pack full of goodies, which was very appreciated! The property is spacious and is well equipped; however the best feature is the unadulterated, ever changing view of the Dart Estuary, Dartmouth and the wonderful steam train that passes by the property. We would come back in a heartbeat!
