The Pink House in Devon is praised for its cleanliness, prime location with sea views, and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property, ample parking, and the convenience of a nearby bus stop. Some concerns were raised about the comfort of the lounge seating and the size of the second bedroom, but the overall experience is positive, with many guests planning to return.
The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'very clean', 'sparkling', and 'well maintained'. There was a single mention of a mouse, but this seems to be an isolated incident.
The location is highly praised for its sea views, easy access to local attractions, and the convenience of a nearby bus stop. The village setting with a pub, shop, and restaurant within walking distance is also appreciated.
While many guests find the property comfortable, there are several mentions of the lounge seating being uncomfortable and the second bedroom being too small for a double bed, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and good bathroom facilities. However, some guests noted issues with the heating system, lack of kitchen storage, and a need for better living room furnishings.
Some guests were delighted with welcome packs and personal touches, while others noted their absence. It's clear that such gestures are appreciated when provided, but they are not consistently mentioned across reviews.

The house was extremely clean and was well equipped. W e had a lovely time at The Pink House, it was everything we wanted in a holiday home. Thankyou
Clair
The house itself had a nice homely feel to it. The beds were comfortable and the view out of the master bedroom is stunning. The bathroom has a really good shower that was easy to use. I liked that in the evening there were lamps in the living room that made it feel nice and cosy. During our stay we had mostly good weather with just a day and morning of rain where the house felt cold and there is no way to change the temperature settings set for the house and not nice sitting in a cold house so we had to use the log fire which was lovely but not always ideal when you just want a quick boost of heat. The house had everything we needed, If I had to make a suggestion then I would say for another chopping board so you can prepare meat on one with the other for bread/veggies etc and maybe a measuring jug. We managed to use the washing machine and tumble dryer with ease which is good. My son has a lot of dietary requirements which is why we go self catering on our holidays and one thing I did find is there was not one kitchen cupboard spare to put any food items that youâve brought with you into so we had to resort to using the space on top of the washing machine and tumble dryer to store all our food. The location was great for Dartmoor and Blackpool sands beach which you could even walk to if you like walking as not too far. The village shop did seem to sell out of most things even bread unless you got there early morning which we couldnât always do and so had to travel further to the large supermarkets when we only needed a couple of bits but once you knew that you could plan for it. The Pink House has really good parking adjacent to the house which is always great when arriving back from a long day out and when arriving/packing the car up to go home. Also a nice little seating area out the front with a sea view which would be lovely to eat at, unfortunately we didnât get a chance to use this but looked lovely. We did enjoy our stay at the Pink House, than you.

The property is very well maintained, beautifully decorated, and extremely clean. We loved it! Excellent location, wonderful restaurant across the road and lovely village store around the corner.
