About this property

A Grade II listed building located in the beautiful South Devon village of Dittisham and stands in a private and elevated position with a large garden to the front, side and rear of the property over looking the River Dart.

Rosemary Cottage dates back to the turn of the 16th century and is mainly constructed from Devon cob. The property takes its name from the huge clumps of rosemary that tumble over the front wall during warmer months. Upon entering the cottage, you will be greeted with low ceilings and original wooden beams throughout, coupled with contemporary features and modern comforts creating the perfect family retreat. The sitting room features relaxed seating in front of the cosy wood burning stove, perfect for those cooler evenings, and from the study/reading area there are french doors opening out to the beautiful garden and terraced area facing the river. The dining kitchen with its warming electric Aga, can comfortably accommodate all guests to dine and create an enjoyable family space. The utility room keeps the washing/dryer out of sight and has a stable door to the back garden. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom and a family bathroom.

The garden is largely lawned with an abundance of terraces, flower beds and a sloping orchard, all enjoying beautiful view points across the River Dart and South Devon’s stunning landscape.
