Guests say

Guests have enjoyed their stays at 1 Camperdown Lodge, often mentioning the thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts and the property's suitability for dogs. The location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions, despite the steep walk from Salcombe. Comfort and facilities generally meet expectations, with some minor maintenance issues noted.

The property is generally found to be clean and comfortable. However, some guests have noted areas that could benefit from a deeper clean, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms, and a slight odour of dogs in the living area.

The location is well-received for its quiet setting and proximity to Salcombe and local beaches. The steep walk to the town may not suit everyone, but the property's position is generally considered a positive aspect.

The property is described as cosy and well-equipped, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, some guests have reported issues with bed sizes and the en-suite shower room temperature, suggesting room for improvement in this category.

Facilities are generally good, with parking and a garden for dogs being highlights. Nonetheless, guests have encountered minor maintenance issues such as a non-functioning outside light and a problematic iron, indicating some attention is needed.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with several guests mentioning welcome gifts such as Prosecco and dog treats. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such extras are a courtesy and may not be provided on every occasion.

Very comfortable with a great outside space. An ideal spot to visit Salcombe and surrounding area. Highly recommended.

Kitchen and bathrooms could do with a deep clean-en suite shower in particular. Both showers can’t be used at the same time-en suite water went very cold. Smell of dog in front room-not very bad but it can be smelt. This was our fault as at the time of booking we didn’t realise that the accommodation was dog friendly. No objections to dogs but would rather not smell them. Unnecessary rubbish dumped around the parking area-wasn’t a great 1st impression. Think listing should state very steep walk from Salcombe-we were ok with that but it wouldn’t suit some.

Everything thought of, super!! Well done. Super comfy flat and the outside area is great for my dogs. Thank you for letting us stay and for the doggie treat, fizz and biscuits. North Sands and Burgh Island were fabulous and defiantly recommend the food at The Winking Prawn North Sands and Pilchard Inn, lovely fish and chips at Burgh. Best week weather wise absolutely made the holiday and coming back to the flat! Great Time!
